Springfield Preparatory School is a
well-established private school nestled in the secluded Erindale
Village. Established in 1974, Springfield strived to become a
place for learning and growing which was safe and nurturing. Some
35 years later Springfield continues to value these aspects of
school life and continues to evolve as children, education and the
world changes. We count many professionals amongst our graduates
and continue to welcome back students as parents and staff.
Our authorization by the International
Baccalaureate Organization as an IB World School, offering the
Primary Years Programme brought excitement and renewed dedication
from all of our staff. After 7 years with the PYP we are now
embarking on a new journey to become a MYP school. The philosophy of the programme and the
“creation of a inquiring mind” are at the roots of our careers and
professional goals. The programs formalize the philosophy
Springfield has always held for our programmes and the
learning environment allows children to reflect on the connections
between school, home and the world.
Students at Springfield will learn to think, to
question, to take risks and explore with confidence. The program
develops the academic, the social and the physical self to create
the whole child who is ready to embrace the modern world. Students
in either program will learn how to learn and apply their acquired
skills as they journey into the world as life long learners.
